At CinemaCon 2011, in concert with our friends at the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation, the presentation of the prestigious “Pioneer of the Year” Award was incorporated into the official convention schedule. The 2011 recipient was Dick Cook and the evening hosted by Tim Allen was a rousing success. CinemaCon is delighted to note that the presentation of the 2012 “Pioneer of the Year” Award, which will go to Jeffrey Katzenberg, Chairman of DreamWorks Animation, will as well be part of the 2012 convention schedule. This all-industry dinner event will be held on Wednesday evening, April 25th. Admission to the dinner is included in all International and Domestic Registration Packages for CinemaCon.
