The Walt Disney Studios
On behalf of The Walt Disney Studios, we welcome you to CinemaCon 2026! We are thrilled to be back with all of our phenomenal partners after another incredible year for cinema. We are proud of all we have achieved together over the past year, and we can’t wait to work with you to bring our exciting slate of films to moviegoers worldwide!
Our studios — Disney, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios, and Searchlight Pictures — continue to showcase an incredible variety and quality of films. Last year, we had the biggest year on record for any studio since 2019, surpassing $6 billion at the global box office, and three films released in 2025 surpassed the $1 billion box office milestone. Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Zootopia 2 is now the #1 animated MPA movie of all time, having earned a massive $1.9 billion globally. 20th Century Studios’ Avatar: Fire and Ash provided a visual feast for audiences as they traveled back to Pandora, and our live-action Lilo & Stitch shared the meaning of Ohana as it danced its way to becoming the #1 Memorial Day opening of all time globally. There is no way these milestones could have been reached without your collaboration — thank you for all of the support!
We’re already off to a terrific start to the year with the releases of 20th Century Studios’ Send Help, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come from Searchlight Pictures, and Disney & Pixar’s Hoppers, which boasts the biggest global debut for an original animated film since 2017’s Coco.
Next month, the summer box office season will start to heat up with 20th Century Studios’ The Devil Wears Prada 2, reuniting Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci as they return to the fashionable streets of New York City and the sleek offices of Runway Magazine for the eagerly awaited sequel to the 2006 phenomenon that defined a generation. Lucasfilm will also release The Mandalorian and Grogu, an all-new Star Wars adventure as the legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin, played by Pedro Pascal, and Grogu embark on their most thrilling mission yet. Directed by Jon Favreau, the film also stars Sigourney Weaver and Jeremy Allen White. Then, in June, Toy meets Tech in Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 as fans are introduced to the new character Lilypad, a high-tech, frog-shaped smart tablet who will make Buzz, Woody, Jessie, and the rest of the gang’s jobs exponentially harder when they go head to head with the all-new threat to playtime.
The summer continues with the live-action Moana in July, a live-action version of the hit animated film with Dwayne Johnson reprising the role of Maui and introducing Catherine Laga'aia as Moana, and Searchlight Pictures’ Super Troopers 3 in August, bringing even more state trooper hijinks in this third installment of the cult comedy classic from the Broken Lizard crew. Also in August, 20th Century Studios’ The Dog Stars from director Ridley Scott, an adaptation of Peter Heller’s best-selling novel starring Jacob Elordi, Margaret Qualley, Josh Brolin, and Academy Award nominee Guy Pearce, is set to rock your theaters like only Ridley Scott can do.
20th Century Studios will make a splash in October with Whalefall, an adaptation of the acclaimed novel by Daniel Kraus, which will tell the thrilling story of a scuba diver who gets swallowed by a sperm whale. In November, Searchlight Pictures is reteaming with Academy Award-winning writer and director Martin McDonagh for the release of Wild Horse Nine, starring John Malkovich and Sam Rockwell as Chris and Lee, two CIA agents on a trust-testing mission on Easter Island shortly before the 1973 Chilean coup. Then, just in time for Thanksgiving, Walt Disney Animation Studios will bring audiences together for Hexed, an all-new magical coming-of-age saga about an unconventional teenage girl who discovers she has secret magical abilities.
As 2026 comes to a close, Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday arrives this holiday season in a monumental way, featuring an all-star cast of characters from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe and introducing the egotistical and maniacal Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr. Looking to 2027 and beyond, we couldn’t be more excited to bring Avengers: Secret War, Ice Age: Boiling Point, Star Wars: Starfighter, Frozen 3, an all-new Bluey movie, Gatto, and so much more to audiences everywhere.
As always, we thank our exhibition and format partners for your continued support, and our teams look forward to collaborating with you as we collectively look to find innovative ways to engage customers to see these great movies in the place they were meant to be seen first — on the BIG screen in your amazing cinemas. Have a wonderful CinemaCon!
