GKIDS
At GKIDS, we are dedicated to connecting North American audiences with stories from around the world. We represent the work of many of the world’s most acclaimed animation filmmakers, including Makoto Shinkai (Your Name., Weathering With You), Satoshi Kon (Perfect Blue, Millennium Actress), Tomm Moore (Song of the Sea, Wolfwalkers), Mamoru Hosoda (Mirai, Belle), as well as serve as the North American home of Japan’s legendary Studio Ghibli.
Last year, we broke new ground with the theatrical stewardship of a cinema legend – Godzilla. Hideaki Anno’s Shin Godzilla returned to screens to thrill audiences in an all-new 4K. GKIDS also entered the live-action space with Sang-il Lee’s Kokuho, Japan’s highest grossing live-action film of all time, which went on to earn an Academy Award nomination for Makeup & Hairstyling. In total, with a mix of major IP, anime rediscoveries, prestige live-action and original features from bold new voices, GKIDS titles grossed $56 million across 27 releases and re-releases in 2025.
Looking into 2026, we plan to reach even greater heights with a slate of films from iconic and beloved franchises.
