Friends and partners in exhibition, my Warner Bros. colleagues and I are thrilled to come together with you once again to celebrate the theatrical experience. Coming off of a groundbreaking year and history-making awards season, our 2026 slate offers an exciting lineup of titles in every genre, with an impressive roster of stars and filmmakers at the helm.
Even as we meet, the filmmaker who singlehandedly revived the Evil Dead franchise with 2023’s Evil Dead Rise, Lee Cronin, is back to push the boundaries of horror again with his latest offering, Lee Cronin’s The Mummy, in partnership with New Line Cinema, Atomic Monster and Blumhouse, scaring up business in your houses this week. And New Line is next at bat this May with Mortal Kombat II, the eagerly awaited follow up to the hit original film, with Simon McQuoid back to direct from a script by Jeremy Slater, based on the blockbuster video game by Ed Boon and John Tobias. Karl Urban joins the ensemble of new and returning cast, ready to “Get over here!”
This summer, soaring onto your screens in June is Supergirl! DC Studios’ next offering expands the story of Kara Zor-El, who made an unforgettable cameo in last summer’s smash hit Superman. Milly Alcock reprises her role in this interstellar journey of vengeance and justice alongside Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and Jason Momoa as fan favorite, Lobo. Craig Gillespie directs from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira, based on characters from DC, Supergirl based on characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. DC Studio heads Peter Safran and James Gunn are producing.
In July, the Deadites return for Evil Dead Burn, the next chapter in the successful franchise revived by Lee Cronin in Evil Dead Rise, this one directed by Sébastien Vanicek and written by Florent Bernard, and starring Souheila Yacoub.
Summer wraps with fun fare for the whole family, The End of Oak Street. A lot of surprises to keep under wraps, but the action adventure thriller, starring Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor and written and directed by David Robert Mitchell, with J.J. Abrams producing, will land in theaters this August.
September delivers a long-awaited treat when Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman return in the next chapter of Practical Magic, a world steeped in moonlit mischief and powerful ancestral magic, where the Owens sisters must confront the dark curse that threatens to unravel their family once and for all in a must-see cinematic event of fun, magic and mayhem. Directed by Susanne Bier from a screenplay by Akiva Goldsman and Georgia Pritchett, based on the novel The Book of Magic by Alice Hoffman, and produced by Bullock, Kidman and Denise DiNovi.
October brings the hotly anticipated new film from director Alejandro G. Iñárritu, Digger, starring Tom Cruise as the most powerful man in the world, who embarks on a frantic mission to prove he is humanity’s savior before the disaster he’s unleased destroys everything. Dubbed a comedy of catastrophic proportions, the Legendary Pictures’ film is written by Iñárritu and Alexander Dinelaris & Nicolás Giacobone and Sabina Berman, produced by Cruise, Iñárritu and Mary Parent, and also stars Riz Ahmed, John Goodman, Sandra Hüller, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Jesse Plemons.
Heading into Halloween comes DC Studios’ first offering in the horror space, Clayface, directed by James Watkins from a screenplay by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini, story by Flanagan, based on characters from DC. Story details are still under wraps as of this writing, but the film stars Tom Rhys Harries in the title role, alongside Naomi Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella and Eddie Marsan. The film is produced by Matt Reeves, Lynn Harris, James Gunn and Peter Safran.
For the holiday season, we have three exciting offerings for moviegoers of all ages, beginning with the first feature film from Warner Bros. Pictures Animation, The Cat in the Hat. It’s an all-new, epic adventure with an edge, where mischief, magic and mayhem reign supreme and, doing what he does best, the Cat—voiced by Bill Hader—spreads joy to kids in his hilarious, signature and singularly irreverent way, transporting them and audiences on a fantastical journey through a world they’ve never seen before. The film is directed by Erica Rivinoja and Alessandro Carloni from their own screenplay, story by Caroline Williams.
Next up is writer/director J.J. Abrams’ The Great Beyond, an original action adventure starring Glen Powell, Jenna Ortega, Emma Mackey, Sophie Okonedo, Merritt Wever and Samuel L. Jackson. We’re not revealing any story details on this title just yet, but stay tuned.
And finally, the year closes out with one of the most highly anticipated films in recent history, Dune: Part Three, the epic conclusion to Denis Villeneuve’s Dune trilogy, based on the book Dune Messiah by Frank Herbert. The film, from our partners at Legendary, stars Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Isaach De Bankolé, with Charlotte Rampling, with Anya Taylor-Joy, and Robert Pattinson, and Javier Bardem.
Looking into next year, 2027 will bring an exciting and diverse slate, with Titans, Super Heros, your audiences’ favorite Crafters, Fairies and paranormal investigators, a return to Middle-earth, and much, much more!
